Located in Yangebup, the City of Cockburn commissioned us to complete their new Bowling and Recreational Centre.
Intended to house bowls, darts, futsal and volleyball clubs within the shared centre, our challenge was to navigate the requirements of diverse stakeholder groups and sporting codes in order to deliver a versatile and performative, though low-maintenance facility.
Carabiner were engaged at the start of construction to take over from the design architects and see the project through to completion. We undertook design changes at the client’s request, ensured the documentation was coordinated, compliant and complete and assisted in the selection and coordination of the public artwork and the bowling green cover.
The Centre opened to the public on schedule. The outcome, a modern, crisp and welcoming facility, with durable materiality exceeded expectations of the entire community.
