Madora Bay Primary School

The Department of Finance commissioned Carabiner to deliver Madora Primary School, a new K-6 school in the coastal suburb of Madora Bay, on the outskirts of the regional city of Mandurah.

"Not only are the facilities first class, but outstanding staff have been employed, making this school a very special place for the local community."

Our scope included the development of a community integrated and connected master plan and the design of a campus and associated buildings for a K-6 primary school campus.

The school comprises a centrally located administration building, flanked by 3 standard single storey and 2 new style 2 storey teaching block buildings and a covered assembly building. The 2 storey buildings are positioned to enclose the landscaped central courtyard, providing weather protection from south westerly wind and rain.

The project was delivered during a period of building materials shortages, escalating costs and intense demand for the available skilled labour. We developed a strategy for developing the school in spearable portions to mitigate the potential for delays.

This project was delivered on time and on budget in a challenging construction environment.
