The Integrated Marine Operations Centre (IMOC) provides new operational and administrative facilities for the Pilbara Port Authority (PPA) in addition to the new main Marine Control Tower.
The facility provides the following for the PPA:
A state-of-the-art Incident Control Room and Vessel Tracking System Room at the top of the tower
Robust, cyclone-proof and weatherproof Comms Room and mast at the top of the tower
Contemporary, high-quality, fully accessible administrative, operational and staff amenity spaces
Customised separate amenities and facilities for marine pilots
Secure basement parking with tanking and flood control characteristics

Customised mechanical louvres were detailed to allow airflow while resisting dust & cyclone impact, and extensive sun screening was included to admit natural light while limiting heat load and glare.
