Hubs for Community Wellbeing

Welcoming, adaptable environments for delivering integrated care services

Multi-disciplinary care close to home

Carabiner have delivered a variety of Health Hubs in WA, from the recently tendered $42.2m Byford Health Hub, to specialist hubs for Youth Mental Health and the treatment of Eating Disorders.

Community health hubs offer a cost-effective and accessible solution for delivering healthcare closer to home. By situating these hubs in local neighborhoods, they significantly reduce the time and financial burden of travel for patients, which in turn leads to better attendance for crucial preventative care and follow-up appointments.

We design these hubs to operate differently to traditional hospitals, as they provide a variety of integrated services, including emergency or elective surgeries, and are also perfectly designed for routine care like screenings, immunizations, allied and mental health services. This focus on preventative and regular care is highly valuable, providing a frontline solution for reducing hospital wait times.

Youth Mental Health Hub

We design health hubs to be agile, adaptable in design and function: over time, services can shift as demand changes.
